Change is the only constant.

About me

I am a builder. Whether I’m navigating a global enterprise, bootstrapping a startup, or working with raw wood in my workshop, my mindset remains the same: Learn by doing.

My path didn't start in a boardroom; it began in the trenches of the early 2000s web at Amazon. That foundation led to my time as a technical co-founder at ModernBill and DnZoom, where I discovered the grit required to take a product from a zero-to-one idea to a successful exit.

Today, that entrepreneurial DNA drives my work as an intrapreneur. I’ve found that the same principles apply: I specialize in stepping into the ambiguity of large organizations to build the engines that drive scale.

A Career Built on Curiosity

I have never been content staying in a single lane. To me, being a product leader means having the humility to start over as a beginner whenever a new domain demands it.

That curiosity has led me across a vast landscape. I’ve engineered e-commerce solutions at Amazon during the dot-com boom, built the “digital plumbing” of the internet in Web Hosting, and navigated the high-stakes regulatory environments of Legal Tech at DocuSign and Life Sciences at MasterControl.

Whether it’s consumer retail or enterprise compliance, the industry changes, but the mission doesn't: learn the ecosystem, isolate the problem, and build the solution.

Servant Leadership & Mentorship

I’ve learned that building great products is impossible without building great people. Today, my most fulfilling work is clearing the path for others to succeed.

I am deeply committed to servant leadership and to helping up-and-coming product managers find their voice.

Whether through my past work on the Coffee with Product podcast or 1:1 mentorship, I strive to help others navigate their own paths and become the best versions of themselves. For me, success isn't just about the engine we build, but the team that keeps it running.

The Workshop as a Classroom

When I step away from the screen, I step into my workshop, Lathe & Lumber.

This is where I test my “learner’s mindset” against the physical world. Woodworking is a humbling discipline; it requires a level of patience and an acceptance of failure that a boardroom rarely demands. I treat my craft—specifically the creation of bespoke fountain pens—as a continuous loop of experimentation. I find myself applying the same principles I use in software: hypothesis, prototype, test, and iterate.

This space is the convergence of my professional journey and my personal craft. It’s a collection of lessons learned from a life spent building, sometimes with lines of code, and sometimes with shavings of wood.
